Only the parent(s) or persons authorized by the parent(s) may pick up the student from the program.

All parents will be asked to sign up for care on a monthly basis.

Two days notice will be required if a student will not be attending on a particular day. If notice is not given a daily fee ($5.00) will be charged.

If a student is ill on a scheduled day for care, that day’s payment will be made as usual ($5.00).

Drop-in care will be available, pending space. Any parent anticipating the need for occasional care will be asked to complete all appropriate forms in advance (preferably at the beginning of the year) and will need to purchase a punch card before care can be provided.

Breakfast/Snacks

All food – breakfast and/or snacks will be provided by the student.

If a student does not bring breakfast and/or snack, none will be provided. There will be no sharing of food between students.

The microwave is not available for after-school program but may be used by before-school students.

Injury/Illness

The care provider is certified in CPR and basic first aid.

Any necessary medications must be in the original container and accompanied by a note from the parent regarding instructions.

It is the parent’s responsibility to make sure that the care provider has all necessary ways (work, pager, cell phone, etc.) to contact the parent in the event of an emergency. An emergency contact must also be provided.

Minor injuries will be handled immediately and parents notified if deemed necessary.

In the event of a serious injury, the parent will be notified immediately. Should the parent not be available, the appropriate measures will be taken to insure the welfare of the student. The parent will assume all financial responsibilities.

Should a student become ill during the program, the parents will be notified to pick the student up. Pick-up of the student will be done within one hour of the phone call.

Discipline

School rules and procedures shall be followed – the same behavior expected in school will be expected in the before and after school program.

Minor problems will be dealt with during the sessions and discussed with the parents.

Uncontrollable behavior during a session may result in the parent being called to pick up the student immediately.

Repeat behavior problems will be referred to the Board of Education and may result in possible suspension from the program.

General Information

The fellowship hall, kitchen, restrooms, and playground facilities are the only areas to be used by the before and after school program.

The students in the program will help the caregiver maintain these areas in terms of cleaning and neatness.

If a student is not registered for the program and/or prior payment arrangements have not been made (punch card) the student will not be allowed to participate in program activities.

If necessary, one of the teachers of Christ Our Redeemer will substitute for the care provider.

Hours of Operation

Morning hours 7:00am – 8:00am
Afternoon hours 3:30pm - 5:00pm

Care will be provided on Fridays when there are Teacher In-Service Days (1/2 day of school).
